Darren Deskin for Lockport Township Supervisor

Dr. Darren Deskin is a native of Lockport. He is a 1974 graduate of Kelvin Grove and a 1978 graduate of Joliet Catholic High School. After high school he attended the University of Illinois and Augustana College. He attended the National College of Chiropractic where he obtained a BS in Human Biology (1982) and a Doctor of Chiropractic degree (1984). After graduating from the National College of Chiropractic he moved to Benton, IL. He practiced in Benton from 1985 to 1988. He met his wife, Diane, while living in Benton. They were married in August 1986. Darren and Diane have three children and four grandchildren. In August 1988 Darren took the position of Clinic Director at the Kennedy Chiropractic Center in Moline, IL. In August of 1990 he moved back to Lockport to open his Chiropractic clinic. He has practiced in Lockport for the past 31 years. During the past 35 years he has completed over 1000 hours of Post-Graduate Continuing Education.

Volunteer Activities:
Darren has served on many volunteer organizations. He has served on the Lockport Area Development Commission, the Board of Directors of the SOS Children’s Village, and as a Deacon of the Lockport Christian Church. He donated his time coaching many of his children’s teams. For the past 10 years Darren has donated one afternoon per month at the Will-Grundy Health Department. During that time he has provided over $20,000 in free Chiropractic care. For the last five years he has volunteered to be Santa Claus for Lockport Love and Lockport Police Shop with a Cop events.

Alderman 2013-2021:
In February 2013 Darren was appointed by Mayor Dev Trivedi to fill a seat that was vacated by the resignation of an alderman. He was elected to his first term as 3rd Ward Alderman in April 2013. He was re-elected in April 2017.   Darren’s primary interest as an alderman has been infrastructure. He was instrumental in creating and then implementing a $186 million Capital Improvement Program that began in 2014. Since 1984 over $100 million in infrastructure improvements have been approved and completed.  Darren is also proud that he has been instrumental in decreasing the Property Tax levy by 20% over the past eight years.

Darren is endorsed by Safe Suburbs USA, and the Will County Republican Central Committee.
